This session will feature two presentations designed to help explain important aspects of amyloidosis testing and monitoring in a clear and accessible way.

Honorary Research Fellow, Department of Cardiology, Westmead Hospital

Dr Geenty will speak on:

  • Cardiac MRIs
  • Echocardiograms
  • BNP
  • Troponin
  • Related cardiac assessment topics.

This presentation will run for approximately 20–30 minutes, followed by 10 minutes of Q&A.

Dr Rowland will speak on:

  • Blood results in amyloidosis
  • AL amyloidosis markers, including light chain levels and ratios
  • ATTR amyloidosis markers
  • Other blood markers important for patients, families, and carers to understand.

This presentation will run for approximately 20–30 minutes, followed by 10 minutes of Q&A.
