IMS Translational Research Award and IMS Career Development Award

Jan 30, 2026

International Myeloma Society

The International Myeloma Society and the Paula and Rodger Riney Foundation have announced that applications are now open for the sixth annual “IMS Translational Research Award” and the “IMS Career Development Award.” Both grants are focused on funding research in the field of plasma cell dyscrasias.

The Translational Research Award is intended to foster and support state-of-the-art investigator-initiated translational research that will contribute to improved prevention, early detection, diagnosis, and treatment of plasma cell disorders. The areas of research for this program are broad. This grant will also encourage the development of novel therapies for myeloma. Investigators not focused on myeloma are encouraged to apply for the Translational Research Award, re-focusing their research to myeloma.

The Career Development Award is meant to foster the development of the academic career of young scientists pursuing research in the field of plasma cell disorders, and to promote the development of the next generation of leaders in this field. This grant will also encourage interaction between institutions to enhance collaborative research.

The deadline for both grants is January 30, 2026 at 11:59 pm EST.
