Morie A. Gertz, M.D., haematologist of the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, USA  has research interests in amyloidosis and multiple myeloma. Particularly, Dr. Gertz studies relapse rates in patients with multiple myeloma and amyloidosis when being treated with novel versus traditional therapies.

Professor Claudio Rapezzi, cardiologist at the Institute of Cardiology, University of Bologna, Bologna, Italy, has particular interest in amyloidosis affecting the heart.
