QLD AMYLOIDOSIS SOCIAL SUPPORT GROUP

The Queensland Amyloidosis Social Support Group QASSG is a casual morning tea group which provides a chance for patients and carers to come together to meet, chat and have a good laugh.

This group was started by the wives of two amyloidosis patients and is held in different parts of Queensland approximately 4 times a year.

The last gathering was in August at Sanctuary Cove, Gold Coast was very successful, with 22 people attending – some from as far afield as Oakey and Toowoomba!  Seven of them moved into George’s Paragon Restaurant for a great lunch afterwards. See photo below.

The next gathering is planned for early in December – Tuesday 3rd – at Mt Coot-tha Botanical Gardens Cafe.  There’s ample parking there and of course a good lunch if you choose to stay
